The difference between Qiantang Longjing and West Lake Longjing

Of course, it does not mean that the Longjing tea outside the West Lake production area is not good. Some Longjing tea outside the West Lake production area has a taste no worse than that of the Longjing tea in some West Lake production areas due to the mountain situation, local temperature, environment and other reasons.
Difference 1: Different production areas
West Lake Longjing is the Longjing tea produced within the production area of West Lake District, Hangzhou City. The interior of West Lake District can also be divided into core production areas (Lion, Dragon, Cloud, Tiger and Plum) and non-core production areas (Longwu, Left, etc.) . Qiantang Longjing, its production area is the extension of Hangzhou West Lake District, but it is in Hangzhou area, such as Hangzhou Xiaoshan, Yuhang, Fuyang, Tonglu, Jiande, Chun'an and other counties and cities. Zhejiang Longjing, its production area is outside the Hangzhou area, but still within the scope of Zhejiang, such as Wenzhou, Jinhua, Shaoxing, Lishui and other places.
Difference 2: The aroma is different
The aroma of Qiantang Longjing is obvious at first smell, but after a closer smell, it will have a slight grassy aroma, and then it will gradually fade; while the aroma of West Lake Longjing is not as high as that of Qiantang Longjing at first smell, but its aroma is more fragrant, even if it is brewed many times. After that, the aroma remains stable and persistent. All in all, the aroma of West Lake Longjing is more intense, elegant and lasting than Qiantang Longjing tea.
Difference 3: The taste is different
When drinking Qiantang Longjing tea, the sense of astringency is obvious; while the West Lake Longjing tea tastes slightly sweet, revitalizing, and fresher.
